Richard and Dorothy became associated with the Apache Junction Senior Center in 2005.  Dorothy is no longer with us, leaving Richard with his best friend (dog) Poodie.  He is originally from New Jersey, having lived in Newark, Metuchen, Avendale, and Hillside where he attended high school.  As a young man he designed displays for stores.  Richard had a son (deceased), has a daughter and one grandchild.  In order to keep busy, he builds model airplanes and boats; he also enjoys photography.  It’s always a pleasure to visit Richard and he appreciates the services extended by the senior center.

Richard was a caregiver for his wife Dorothy when they both started on Home Delivered Meals.  After Dorothy passed away Richard’s health has continued to decline so he has continued with Home Delivered Meals.
