Knock on Harry’s door and you get a “Come on in!” when delivering meals to Harry.  Harry always has a smile and a “How are you?”  “How’s the family”?  Harry has received meals from the center for a number of years.  Harry is blind and in a wheelchair.  Harry has a great personality and always ready to talk.

Harry has been associated with the Apache Junction Senior Center since 1993.  He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.  He came to Arizona for his sister’s 40th birthday in 1972 and never left.  Harry played the organ and piano professionally and still enjoys playing as a hobby.  He also worked as a mailman and a floor refinisher during his work career.

Harry has two sons, Harry Jr. and Paul, and a stepdaughter with three children (Harry’s grandchildren).  It’s always a pleasure to visit with him because of his optimistic attitude towards life.
